Preventing, detecting and managing drug interactions is part of a pharmacist's clinical role and in practice, pharmacists are asked about them often.
Although they are a much less common cause of harm than adverse reactions, interactions are perhaps recognised less often and pharmacists' activities in this area help to protect patients.
